Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, (2 Corinthians 5:20)
11 Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.
12 Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-12)

Now it pleased the Lord that Solomon had requested this. (1 Kings 3:10)
When Solomon was old, his wives seduced him to follow other
gods. He was not completely devoted to Yahweh his God, as his father David had been. (1 Kings 11:4)
Solomon did what was evil in the Lord’s sight, (1 Kings 11:6)

How do we live out Jesus’ mission, on a daily, weekly, ongoing basis?
After they had gone a long time without food, Paul stood up before them and said: “Men, you should have taken my advice not to sail from Crete;
then you would have spared yourselves this damage and loss. 22 But now I urge you to keep up your courage,
because not one of you will be lost; only the ship will be destroyed. (Acts 27:21-22)
Last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood beside me 24 and said,
‘Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you.’
So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me. (Acts 27:23-25)
