Luke 10: 40
40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made.
She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”
“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one.[b] Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:40-42
- Distraction can often be good things…but it could keep you away from what’s important.
- Distraction can take over a heart that doesn’t set priorities
Deuteronomy 6:5 says
Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
Mark 12:29-30
This is the most important: ‘Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One. 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
