“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.(Exodus 20:12)

A fool despises his father’s instruction, But he who receives correction is prudent. (Proverbs 15:5)

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. Deuteronomy 6:5-6

You shall teach them diligently to your children, Deuteronomy 6:7a

God holds fathers accountable for how they parent.

Now the sons of Eli were scoundrels who had no respect for the Lord 13 or for their duties as priests. (1 Samuel 2:12-13)

I will honor those who honor me, and I will despise those who think lightly of me.

The time is coming when I will put an end to your family, (1 Samuel 2:30-31)

And to prove that what I have said will come true, I will cause your two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, to die on the same day! (1 Samuel 2:34)

I have warned him that judgment is coming upon his family forever,

because his sons are blaspheming God and he hasn’t disciplined them.(1 Samuel 3:13)

The Ark of God was captured, and Hophni and Phinehas, the two sons of Eli, were killed.(1 Samuel 4:11)

Eli fell backward from his seat beside the gate. He broke his neck and died, (1 Samuel 4:18)

God holds fathers accountable for how they parent.

Samuel judged Israel all the days of his life.(1 Samuel 7-15)

Now it came to pass when Samuel was old that he made his sons judges over Israel.(1 Samuel 8:1)

The name of his firstborn was Joel, and the name of his second, Abijah; they were judges in Beersheba. (1 Samuel 8:2)

But his sons did not walk in his ways; they turned aside after dishonest gain, took bribes, and perverted justice.
(1 Samuel 8:3)

sometimes,it’s not about you.

 sometimes, it’s not about you

What do you do when it feels like you can’t win?

“Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a mute spirit. 18 And wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid.

(Slide 64) So I spoke to Your disciples, that they should cast it out, but they could not.” (Mark 9:17-18)

“Have mercy on us and help us, if you can.”

Then the spirit screamed and threw the boy into another violent convulsion and left him.

The boy appeared to be dead. A murmur ran through the crowd as people said, “He’s dead.”

But Jesus took him by the hand and helped him to his feet, and he stood up.

We CAN’T do this on our own. We need Jesus.

We CAN’T do this on our own. We need Jesus.

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares

If I can’?” “Anything is possible if a person believes.”(Mark 9:23)
